The Holy Spirit wakes me with a warm kiss on the cheek and calls me to the Word of God. I obediently get up, make a steaming cup of coffee with my favorite flavored cream and go to my computer. Pulling out my bibles, oh yes I have about 5 of them, and my journal I prepare for my quiet time with the Holy Spirit.I envision a lush green garden with big oak trees and flowers surrounding a gazebo. I am sitting on a beautiful sculptured white bench just big enough for the Holy Spirit and me. The sound of "Holy, Holy Orchestration," which is an instrumental praise & worship by the amazingingly anointed Terry MacAlmon is playing. My complete attention is turned to welcoming the Holy Spirit I pray that all the distractions of the world are taken away.
During this precious intimate quality time with the Holy Spirit, I am given an encouraging word to share with you. I pray that you are blessed today by this devotion and that it refreshes you, encourages you and moves your heart.
God Bless and have a surrendered day.

SCRIPTURES ARE TAKEN FROM "THE COMPLETE JEWISH BIBLE" UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED:
JEWISH ROOTS: I was raised in the Jewish faith being saved on September 11, 1996. Since the time of the death of Jesus many believers were embarrassed that Jesus was a Jew and tried to hide His Jewish heritage. However, in order to have a complete understanding of who Jesus was, I believe that it is important for all believers to know the traditions and customs that Jesus as an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi would have observed . So, I use the Hebrew translation of Scriptures from The Complete Jewish Bible. From time to time as different Jewish holidays and observances come about I will do my best to give you a brief insight as to what Jesus would have done during these times, why the holiday or observance was instituted and why as Christians we should continue to observe the holiday or observace. I hope you enjoy getting to know your Jewish heritage as it belongs to all of us as believers.
MY CHURCH: On January 18, 2003, I was water baptized at the International Church of Las Vegas (ICLV). Psalms tell us to get wisdom and knowledge. The best way to do this is to attend bible study, Sunday school classes and Christian conferences. A wise spiritual advisor told me to be in church everytime the doors were open. So, for the past 6 1/2 years as a member of ICLV, I attended weekly bible study with the women, Sunday school classes, almost all the conferences offered, and even audited Fast Tract Bible College classes. Not only did I and am I continuing to receive an amazing Christian education but through the years of attending these events with my Pastors, church staff and fellow sisters and brothers at ICLV, I continue to build a solid Christian family relationship. KEYS: CHECK YOUR FRUITLuke 13:6 Then Yeshua gave this illustration: "A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came looking for fruit but didn't find any.
Luke 13:7 So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, “Here, I've come looking for fruit on this fig tree for three years now without finding any. Cut it down — why let it go on using up the soil?”
Luke 13:8 But he answered, “Sir, leave it alone one more year. I'll dig around it and put manure on it.
Luke 13:9 If it bears fruit next year, well and good; if not, you will have it cut down then."
God has blessed each of us with gifts for bearing fruit to glorify Him. Are you letting these gifts lay dormant or are you nurturing these precious gifts to bear good fruit for the glory of God. (Galatians 22-23: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, self control. Nothing in the Torah stands against such things.)
Take a moment to think about the gifts God has given you and the fruit you are producing or maybe not producing. Do you need to make some changes in your life so you can more effectively use your gifts and produce good fruit to glorify God?
