The Holy Spirit wakes me with a warm kiss on the cheek and calls me to the Word of God. I obediently get up, make a steaming cup of coffee with my favorite flavored cream and go to my computer. Pulling out my bibles, oh yes I have about 5 of them, and my journal I prepare for my quiet time with the Holy Spirit.
I envision a lush green garden with big oak trees and flowers surrounding a gazebo. I am sitting on a beautiful sculptured white bench just big enough for the Holy Spirit and me. The sound of "Holy, Holy Orchestration," which is an instrumental praise & worship by the amazingingly anointed Terry MacAlmon is playing. My complete attention is turned to welcoming the Holy Spirit I pray that all the distractions of the world are taken away.
During this precious intimate quality time with the Holy Spirit, I am given an encouraging word to share with you. I pray that you are blessed today by this devotion and that it refreshes you, encourages you and moves your heart.
God Bless and have a surrendered day.

MY JEWISH ROOTS: I am an Ashkenazy (Russian) Jew. I was raised in the Jewish faith being saved on September 11, 1996, becoming a Messianic Believer. Since the time of the death of Jesus the world has tried to separate the Gentile and the Jew. However, as the Apostle Paul explains in Romans 11, the Jewish people are the natural branches of the rooted tree and Gentile believers are grafted into the root of the tree. All Believers share the root of the tree based on faith in God. Therefore, in order to have a complete understanding of who Jesus is, it is important for all believers to know the observances of Torah that Jesus, as an Orthodox Jewish Rabbi obeyed Himself and taught His talmid to obey. The Scriptures referred to on this website, unless otherwise stated, are from The Complete Jewish Bible, which uses the original Hebrew/Greek translations in both the Old and New Testaments.
From time to time as different Jewish feast and observances come up for celebration on the Jewish Calendar I will do my best to help you understand why as Gentiles and Jews we should continue to observe these Torah celebrations as God commanded for “all” generations and as Jesus did in fact observe.
MY HOUSE OF PRAYER: On January 18, 2003, I was water baptized at the International Church of Las Vegas (ICLV). Proverbs 4:5 teaches us to get wisdom and understanding. A wise spiritual advisor told me to be in church every time the doors were open. I was so blessed to be discipled at ICLV and hungrily attended Services, Sunday School, bible study classes, conferences and served in several ministries. Recently I began attending services and bible study at Lev HaShem Messianic Synagogue to align myself with a body of believers who don’t see Jew or Gentile but One New Man (Ephesians 2:13-15) and who believe “Torah respect and observance is not a legalism, nor is it a works for salvation, but a freedom for both Jew and Gentile, one in Messiah. By the working of love, faith and grace, Jews and Gentiles become stronger in their identity and grow in their Biblical Jewish root.” ( Taken from the Lev HaShem Doctrine) |
